What is NG CARES Grant?
This might be the first question on your mind as you read this. NG CARES Grant is one of the federal government of Nigeria programmes to give support to citizens affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. It also stands for National COVID-19 Action Recovery & Economic Stimulus.

The NG-CARES is part of the Nigerian Government economic stabilization project with the sole aim of assisting the government in responding to the effects of COVID-19 pandemic that almost destroyed the nation’s economy. It also promises food security for the masses, bringing back livelihood and promoting MSEs in the country.
We wish to use this medium to announce to you that the NG CARES Grant application form is officially open and all eligible applicants that wish to apply can go ahead with their application.
The NG CARES Grant is coming from the World Bank through the federal government. The World Bank has budgeted $750,000,000 in this project to provide various form of assistance to families and businesses affected by the pandemic.
The NG-CARES Grant is supposed to last for a period of two (2) years, from 2021 to 2023.
Expectations from targeted MSEs
- Micro Business: Small Businesses who want to be a beneficiary of this project should have at least three to nine (3-9) employees.
- Small Business: Small businesses that wish to benefit from NG-Cares must have at least ten to fifty (10-50) employees/employees.
Required Documents for Application
- Applicant’s Bank Verification Number (BVN) printed and duly stamped by your bank
- Business CAC certificate
- Valid means of identification (Vaters Card, NIN, or Driver’s License)
- Proof of business like Cash Book, Bank Statement, etc.
