Application are now open for UNESCO-IOC Youth Short Video Competition 2021. The competition is for youths between the age range of 14 to 24 living in places outside Indian ocean to share their idea, thoughts and concept about Tidal wave.
The topic for this year is Community Tidal wave awareness
An Overview
Despite being the most populated in the world, youths are still more at risk. The youth have the smallest voice when it comes to matters concerning development of the society, and they are highly affected by the development made by others in the society.

In relation to this, in disaster reduction the youth such as tidal wave hazard, the youth have no opportunity to voice their opinions which will lead to the positive development of the society.
Grand Prize
Winner: will receive approximately $1000(USA)
1st place: will receive approximately $600(USA)
2nd place: will receive approximately $400(USA)
Qualification for UNESCO-IOC Youth Short Video Competition 2021
- Between the age range of 14 to 24
- A resident of a country bothering Indian ocean
- Individuals and group which consist of a maximum of 3 members can participate in the competition
- To promote gender equality at least one female member must be in your group
Qualified countries
Australia, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Myanmar, Bangladesh, South Africa, Tanzania Kenya, United Arab Emirates, Madagascar, Iran.

Scoring criteria
- Creativity (20%)
- Theme, topic and information (50%)
- Concept and originality (30%)

Video submission with incomplete registration will not be selected for this competition.
